Web services are at the very core of the FANC's operations in managing the organisation, public releases and generally protecting the environment. All their web services are run on Linux servers.
Administration is mostly handled from inside the organisation, however an administration agreement is in place with Seravo making sure top Linux expertise is available on demand.
Hakemisto.kirjastot.fi is the Finnish nationwide library directory service. It is a core component of the wider Finnish Libraries.fi web service funded by the ministry of education and culture produced in cooperation with Finnish libraries.
The library directory is a HTML5/Elastic Serach/Node.js -application running on a Linux web server. Seravo's areas of responsibility include administration, hardware and further development of the application. The library directory is the first truly open source Finnish public sector software service.
Sandvik Mining and Construction utilises a company wide version control system playing key part in both development of new software and updating older software built for operating heavy machinery. Their software can be utilised for up to 30 years.
An administration agreement with Seravo makes sure the Linux servers running the system always work reliably and safely.
